ABOUT
Daniel Mutton is a Bulgarian-British Photographer & Director; born and raised in England, who currently works between Los Angeles and London, United Kingdom.
During his early years he moved to Los Angeles, where he spent 6 years learning and growing-- graduating with a BA in Film and Production in the process. Upon graduation he assisted some renowned photographers out there such as Nadia Lee Cohen and Parker Day who contributed to his visual style during the early onset of his career. During this period he also assited Production Designer Brittany Porter with set design on large scale productions. Some of these produtions include: MAC COSMETICS Campaign, Kali Uchis - After The Storm Music Video, C Tangana, Becky G - booty, Katy Perry Shoe Collection to name a few.
His work focuses on creating a hyperreal flux of imagery which is birthed into his visually interpretive universe, that defines him as an artist. The idea of challenging identity has been a common theme throughout his practice. Drawing influence from his British and European background, he brings to life characters inspired by both lore and mythology; also drawing inspiration from the cyber realm of aesthetics and hauntological eras brought from the past and placed in the present.
